How Hollywoods Been Responding to the Coronavirus Outbreak

Hollywood is doing whatever it takes to ensure the safety and health of its community amid the coronavirus outbreak in the United States.


Riverdale is one of many productions to be halted due to a coronavirus scare withing its team.

According to TMZ, they obtained word from a Warner Bros. rep who said a team member became concerned about their health regarding the coronavirus. "We are working closely with the appropriate authorities and health agencies in Vancouver (where they shoot) to identify and contact all individuals who may have come into direct contact with our team members," the rep continues.


Movie premieres have been postponed as well. Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, No Time to Die, and the 9th installment of the Fast Saga have all gotten later premiere dates. Disney just announced they are postponing Mulan, New Mutants, and Antlers.


John Krasinski, director of A Quiet Place Part II, has announced via Instagram that "due to the ever-changing circumstances of what's going on in the world around us, now is clearly not the right time" to release the film. John remains optimistic, however, letting fans of the movie know he is "gonna wait to release the film til we CAN all see it together!"


Actor Tom Hanks posted to his followers on Instagram that he and his wife Rita have "felt a bit tired" stating they had "colds, and some body aches," confirming they tested positive for coronavirus while in Australia.


Annual events/conventions like Esports event "E3" and SXSW have been canceled. Coachella, one of the most anticipated music festivals of the year, has been postponed to October instead of its original dates in April.
