The Staples Center opens it's doors once more for 62nd Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California. This year's 2020 Grammys were full of energy and positivity thanks to returning host Alicia Keys. From fashion risks to moving performances, here are some of the highlights from tonight's show.

Opening the show, Alicia Keys hit the stage with Boyz II Men singing "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye." The audience sat heartbroken watching the performance dedicated to Kobe Bryant who sadly passed away earlier that day alongside his daughter Gianna Bryant and 7 other people in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. As the song comes to an end, the camera zooms into Bryant's LA Lakers number 8 and 24 jerseys, remembering the legacy he left as a former player for the LA Lakers. They remained lit up all night in his honor.

Camila Cabello delivers a beautiful performance of "First Man" dedicated to her father Alejandro. The "My Oh My" singer nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Señorita" with Shawn Mendes tonight, graced the stage with a light purple dress accompanied by home videos of her growing up with her father. The tears for the viewers and those in the audience like Gwen Stefani began when Cabello walks towards her father and begins to serenade him. "First Man" as Jim Gaffigan introduced is "dedicated to all fathers and daughters" that night. In light of earlier events that day, the crowd was moved by Cabello's touching performance.

The night was full of surprises like those Lil Nas x brought on stage during his performance of "Old Town Road." Joining him on stage, K-Pop sensation group BTS chimed in during the first set change. Their entrance was followed by Mason Ramsey, Diplo, and Collaborator Billy Ray Cyrus. Like many other performers that night, Lil Nas x laid an LA Lakers "24" Jersey on one of the sets for his performance in honor of Kobe Bryant. The surprises didn't end there! The crowd cheered as rapper Nas joined in by the end of the song. During an interview with ET, Billy Ray Cyrus calls their performance "emotional" and that the night is to "honor [Kobe] in his house and [for] people come together in music and song"

Ariana Grande

Returning to the Grammys stage with a bang, Ariana Grande turns it into her playground. Singing fan-favorite songs like "Imagine," "7 Rings," and "Thank You, Next" and turning them into a medley left the crowd wanting more. From her moonlit toned purple lights, and poofy sheer robe and teddy gave Grande's performance the pop and aesthetic she is known for having in her fashion and music videos.

"Anyone"

Bringing everyone to tears, Demi Lovato performs "Anyone," a new song very personal to her that she describes as wanting to "go back in time and help that version of myself.'” "Anyone" was written before her overdose in July 2018. Her performance was met with a standing ovation from the crowd.
