It's Been a BIG Week for Thor: Love and Thunder

Love and Thunder stans RISE!

Earlier this week we were blessed with news from the great Tessa Thompson at the premiere of Westworld in Los Angeles. "Christian Bale is going to play our villain," the Thor: Love and Thunder actress spilled.

Fans speculated on twitter that the mystery villain Bale is set to play could either be "Gorr: the God Butcher" or "Mephisto". Bale, who isn't shy of the comic book universe movies – having played "Batman", is an excellent candidate for the new villain we'll meet in the new addition to the Thor cinematic storyline.

Not even a week in between, Vin Diesel – who plays "Groot" in Guardians of the Galaxy, revealed during press tour for Bloodshot that "the director (Taika Waititi) talked to me about Thor will incorporate some of the Guardians of the Galaxy" to Thor: Love and Thunder.

If you remember the ending of Avenger: Endgame, we're left with Thor joining the Guardians of the Galaxy crew on their ship which gave birth to the funny interaction between Peter Quill (Star-Lord) and Thor fighting over who is the leader and the possibility of the "Asguardians of the Galaxy" a play on words of Asgard (Thor's home) and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Diesel also mentioned the inclusion of the Guardians in Love and Thunder would "be very interesting, nobody knows, maybe I shouldn't have said anything." Please, say more as there are months between now and the premiere of Thor: Love and Thunder, leaving fans wanting more deets on what's to come.
